How do you know how to pray? I have begun using an app that keeps me in touch with persecuted Christians around the world.

Brother Andrew

Andrew van der Bijl is 90 years old. He is better known “God’s Smuggler.” In 1955 he began taking Bibles and other Christian literature into closed countries. He began in the Communist world and has continued into atheistic and Muslim countries.

All true followers of Jesus Christ should be members of a local church and are members of the Universal Church. Today’s technology enables us to be more informed when we pray and give more strategically than in the past.

Open Doors

Brother Andrew founded Open Doors, a ministry of significant influence. It is dedicated to supporting persecuted Christians around the world. It does this by spreading their stories so other Christian can pray and support their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Brother Andrew has also reached out to persecutors giving them Bibles, telling them the Gospel, and listening to them as a friend. He has met with Palestinian leaders and dictators around the world.

A few weeks ago, I started using a new app on my phone. It is called Pray for the Persecuted. It is free. Open Doors uses it to provide specific prayer requests, usually daily. I can also open it at any time to pray again for these requests. It is always with me unlike their excellent prayer calendar. I strongly recommend this app.

Questions for consideration:

What do you know about the persecuted Church?

What can you do, where you are today, to help persecuted Christians?
